This client found us through Facebook and loved the doors we had made. They had been looking at prices for them and we were able to offer them the best price on the doors that they wanted.
This project was by far the largest cavity slider door we have installed, and we needed to make customised hardware for it including hangars, rollers and track. When we first arrived to install the door, the builders had been there before us and had inserted a track and rollers that were designed for an external shed, not for an internal door so it was extremely rough and loosely installed. The bulkhead had also already been inserted, so we needed to cut and remove this in order to install the door.
To resolve this issue, we needed to take close measurements and return to the workshop to create custom fittings. We worked out a new custom design that would hold the system and the weight of the door in place, taking into consideration the limitations around the existing cavity and set up.
We successfully installed the 160kg Blackbutt timber sliding barn door and had one very happy client!
